Our intuition is our natural inner source of guidance. When we allow it to guide us, it protects us, teaches us valuable lessons, and carries us along our journey. When we don’t listen to our intuition, we very often lead ourselves astray. We make choices that aren’t good for us. We ignore the voice telling us this person or relationship or thing is unhealthy for us. We often end up neglecting and abusing ourselves.
Our intuition sometimes will come to us as signs we can follow. It can come to us as a voice inside us that might sound louder and clearer than the noise of our mental chatter. However we perceive it, it’s usually pretty easily recognizable. When we don’t follow our intuition, it’s often because we choose to ignore it, not because we didn’t know what it was telling us. The messages are often pretty clear.
Choosing to follow our intuition is making the very important choice that we will prioritize ourselves and our wellbeing, that we will no longer place more importance in other people and things than we do in ourselves, particularly in those that go against our best interest. When you see the signs your intuition is trying to send you, when you hear the voice trying to communicate with you, listen. You can try writing down what you see and hear. Make the choice to bravely follow its guidance. Trust yourself. The more you listen to your intuition and then follow it, the stronger it becomes and the easier it is to recognize. Our intuition is like a partner on our journey, always guiding us to become our highest self.
